Free Mold Removal Leads – How to Get More Mold Remediation Jobs

Are you looking for more mold removal jobs? Are you tight on budget?

If your answer to both of these questions is YES then this article is perfect for you.

Today, we’ll show you how to get more mold removal jobs online – almost entirely for free.

Let’s go!

Before We Start

Let’s first define the word free.

Whatever you do, it will either cost you time or money.

As a business owner, your time is the most valuable asset.

The process we’re going to present is almost 100% free but it’s going to take time.

If you don’t have a lot of time, you should outsource this process.

One more thing – free methods take a lot of time to kick in. SEO, content marketing, and other things we’ll cover today all take a lot of time. Expect no significant results in the following 2-6 months.

With that out of the way, here’s our strategy.

1. Setting up a Website

Your website needs to be structured in a way that Google prefers. The goal of Google is to show people what they want to see.

So if a person searches for a mold removal service, Google wants to show them the best possible result.

You want to make your website the best destination for people searching for services you’re selling. You’ll not be able to rank at the top of search results otherwise.

Website content

You can’t just have a homepage. You need a page for each of your services (mold inspection, mold remediation, etc).

On these pages, you should have the following things:

  • Sales propositions – benefits of your service, reviews, testimonials, etc.
  • Answers to people’s questions – Do they have to leave their homes during a job? Will their insurance company pay for the service? And others.

Use AnswerThePublic to find questions people are asking in Google. You can display these questions and their answers in a form of an FAQ. Something like this:

Turning your website into a lead-generating machine

Present your “lead magnet” to people. This can be a free quote or inspection.

Make this offer consistently throughout the page. After every text paragraph, add a button that either dials a phone number or sends them to a lead form page.

Website design and speed

Your design should be decent. Nothing too crazy but it should be decent. And more importantly, your pages need to be responsive.

In addition, load time shouldn’t be longer than 3-4 seconds. People will click off if your site loads longer than that.

If your site is already slow, try changing your hosting provider. You can also do some on-site optimizations like image size reduction and minification of the site’s code files.

2. Claim a Google My Business (GMB) Listing

Open a GMB profile and verify it. While you’re creating your profile, fill out every field. Provide as much information about your business as possible – location, working hours, phone number, industry, services, etc.

Most people create a profile just for a sake of it. You want to stand out and actually put work into your profile. Here are some tips.

What makes a good GMB profile

Notice the patterns of profiles ranking high in Google Maps Pack. Perform a Google search for services in your area. What are the highest-ranking profiles like?

These profiles usually have the most content and reviews.

Add a Q&A to your profile. You can take questions you found on AnswerThePublic and just answer them on your GMB profile.

Post frequently. Once or twice per week would be great.

Add images and videos. Take pictures of your office, record your employees while they’re performing a job, etc.

The more content you have, the better off you’ll be.

Review, reviews, and more reviews

Even if you don’t have a lot of content on your profile, reviews will help you rank.

To get reviews, personally ask every single customer you get to rate their experience with your business on Google.

Many businesses offer free incentives – small products or a discount – to people in exchange for reviews. You can try this but be careful. Google does not approve of such practice.

To learn more about this, check out our GMB tutorial.

3. Rank Your Assets

Once you have everything set up, it’s time to rank your assets. Note that this requires continuous effort. You can’t just set it and forget it.

To speed up your ranking process, add content frequently to your website and GMB profile. Also, try to drive traffic from other platforms to receive user signals.

Bringing us to…

User signals

Google responds strongly to good user signals.

Okay, what are good user signals?!

Good user signals include visiting multiple pages per session, staying on the page for a long time, opting into a form, clicking on buttons and downloading content, etc.

This is why you want to leverage other platforms – Facebook or Youtube – to drive traffic to your website and send user signals to Google. You can also list your website on directory sites.

Yelp, Angie’s List, Yellow Pages, and other directories are free to sign up for. Create profiles on these sites the same way you did with GMB – provide a lot of information.

These directory sites are search engines as well – people go to these sites to find services you need. However, you can get traffic from these sites much faster than you originally would from Google.
